| Construction Services
The maximum benefits of Eby's construction services are achieved when the entire team is able to meet regularly, make quick decisions, communicate those decisions to affected parties and implement the decisions in a timely manner. The following items highlight several components of Eby's established system management approach that facilitates clear and timely communications. In addition to regular day-to-day contact and transmissions between team members, a regularly scheduled coordination meeting will be held. At this meeting the owner, designer, and pre-construction team will gather to update all of the project team members on current progress and to bring up any issues that need to be discussed among the team. An action item list will be developed during these meetings with responsibilities and deadlines assigned to each task to be completed. During construction a weekly owner's meeting will be held. All stakeholders in the project are welcome to attend these meetings. These meetings serve to update the owner on the previous week's progress and to inform the owner what will be taking place on site during the upcoming weeks. This meeting allows for coordination of site access needs, utility shutdowns, and other work that affects the owner's operations. This meeting also allows for coordination with the architects, as the status of RFI's, (Request For Information) and submittals are discussed. Action items lists are also created during this meeting. The Project Superintendent will hold daily coordination meetings on site. Foreman and subcontractors will meet to coordinate the day's activities, and to monitor progress against the two-week schedule. Information gathered during this meeting will be passed on to the owner as necessary. The owner will be able to reach Eby's Superintendent at all times. He will be working full time on the owner's project, so he will be available to answer questions, and address any concerns that the owner may have in a timely manner. Eby will contact the owner in a timely manner on any circumstances that affect the progress of construction, unforeseen or otherwise. Initial contact on these issues will generally be made verbally, with written follow up as necessary. |
