In order to expand Wesley's 2nd floor OR's, a new addition had to be constructed over the existing 1st floor ER. As with most emergency rooms this area had to remain open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. For this project, Eby worked as a subcontractor to JE Dunn to accomplish the structural portion of the contract. Eby's scope included placing concrete columns over the first floor columns and placing a 2nd floor slab on deck, along with a 3rd floor penthouse. To accommodate keeping the ER open, Eby utilized a column supported table system to form the 2nd floor deck. The total project included approximately 400 cy of concrete in new columns, beams and decks.
