This project began with the demolition of the existing stadium aluminum bleachers in order to clear the project area for construction of a new, cast-in-place concrete structure that is supported by 91 drilled piers, the largest being 6 ft in diameter. An elevated colored concrete post and beam construction frame supports raker beams and pre-cast concrete stadium risers to which new spectator seating is attached. The expanded facility now seats 6,155 spectators, each with individual seat backs and arm rests. Finished areas of the renovation include the addition of 16 skyboxes and a multi-room press box located above the stadium, as well as restrooms at three different levels and concession areas at the ground level. Atop the skybox and press level is the stadium's VIP club which provides a commons area for the university contributors and alumni baseball players.
