Martin K. Eby Construction Co., Inc., was founded in 1937 in Wichita, Kansas. Having built a reputation on safety, quality, productivity and providing exceptional levels of customer service, the Company is one of Kansas' most respected and capable contractors. Eby is continually ranked among the top design builders, construction managers and general contractors in the United States.

Eby Construction is the principal operating subsidiary of Eby Corporation, a privately owned entity. We are located in Wichita, Kansas, employing over 150 employees.

A Commitment to Safety
As demonstrated by a current Experience Modifier Rate (EMR) of .56, Eby's safety program is among the best and most effective in the industry. The EMR measures safety on the jobsite, and ours is approximately 50% better than the industry standard. The Company's exceptional safety performance is a direct and continuous result of effective planning for safety at the project level, conscientious leadership and a moral commitment of the company to provide a safe working environment.  In August 2006, the Boeing Wichita Projects Team surpassed one year and eleven months of continuous performance without a lost-time accident, and in October 2005, the Special Projects Team completed its eleventh year of performing work without a lost-time accident.  As of June 23 2006, the Company as a whole completed one year without a lost-time accident.

A Leader in Partnering
Eby is an industry leader in Project Partnering – a framework for facilitating effective working relationships and enhanced teamwork, communication and issue resolution processes that lead to successful construction projects for all stakeholders. Since 1992, the Company has utilized the spirit of partnering in the overall planning and construction processes on over 80 projects. Eby and its stakeholders are proud to have earned the Marvin M. Black Excellence in Partnering Award – presented by the Associated General Contractors of America – on six projects since 1994. The 2004 Marvin M. Black Excellence in Partnering Award was awarded to Eby Construction for the State Road 417 Greenway Improvement Project in Orlando, FL.

Effective Performance
A long-standing motto within Eby has been that "The best and least expensive way of doing anything is by doing it right the first time." Doing it right the first time doesn't just happen – it takes effective planning. Detailed operation planning, production scheduling and work methods analyses are standard company practices that lead to continuous performance improvement in safety, quality and productivity. In addition, Eby performs significant portions of work with its own workforce. As a result, the Company is in the position to more effectively control the schedule, safety, cost and quality aspects of its projects.
