Martin K. Eby Construction Receives Baldwin Build America Award from Associated General Contractors of America
Martin K. Eby Construction Co., Inc. has been honored with the prestigious Baldwin Build America Award by the Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) during the association’s Annual Convention. The award was presented in the category of New Commercial Building, Less Than $20 Million, recognizing EBY’s outstanding work on the construction of the Phillips Fundamental Learning Center (PFLC) in Wichita.
Often referred to as “The Oscars of the Construction Industry,” the Build America Awards represent the pinnacle of achievement within the field, celebrating excellence in project management, innovation, client satisfaction, and overall construction excellence. This year’s recognition marks a significant milestone—not only for EBY, but for the state of Kansas. No other Kansas-based project has received a Build America Award in the past 25 years.
Numerous team members from both EBY and PFLC attended the ceremony to accept the honor, which highlights the collaborative success and impact of the PFLC project.

Our intervention day school is intentionally designed and built for neurodiverse students, and our training center allows educators and parents to learn, observe and participate in student learning!”

The Phillips Fundamental Learning Center is a state-of-the-art educational facility dedicated to empowering children with dyslexia and training educators in evidence-based literacy instruction. The new center features innovative classrooms, therapy spaces, and community learning environments designed to support academic success and lifelong learning.
