Via Christi St. Teresa MOB Remodel

Location: Wichita, Kansas Owner: Via Christi Hospitals Wichita, Inc. Architect: Alloy Architecture Construction: Eby Construction

In a move to save cost and create efficiencies, Via Christi Ascension chose to consolidate their West Wichita operations. The plan was to move all of their operations from the Eberly Farm Clinic to a newly renovated space at the St. Teresa campus.

The required renovations involved building out roughly 15,000 square feet of shell space on the third floor and 3,500 square feet on the second floor. In addition, another 1,700 square feet of existing clinic space on the first floor had to be remodeled to provide a new entry and reception space. With the increased patient load, a new 56,000-square-foot parking lot was necessary to provide parking for another 168 parking spots.

Eby was chosen to provide construction management at-risk services for this project and was brought in early in the design process to assist in budgeting, scheduling and value engineering.
